Available Alcohol & Drug Rehab Services In North Royalton, Ohio

The drug and alcohol rehab centers in North Royalton and Cuyahoga County offer quite a few addiction treatment programs. This makes sure that if you need more than one kind of treatment, you’re able to get it all in one place.

Some of the treatment services offered include:

  • detox
  • inpatient treatment
  • intensive outpatient programs
  • partial hospitalization programs
  • medication-assisted treatment
  • dual-diagnosis treatment
  • aftercare

During drug and alcohol detox, your body is cleansed of drugs and/or alcohol. If you’ve built up a dependency on any substance, you’ll likely experience at least some withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms can be very unpleasant and cause some people to relapse.

Because withdrawal symptoms can lead to relapse, attending a detox center or seeking help from your healthcare provider is recommended. Detox programs may provide medication to prevent or at least ease your withdrawal symptoms and make the process more comfortable.

Inpatient Treatment

Once you’re stable after detox, inpatient treatment can be your next step. It’s especially beneficial if you need 24/7 supervision or if you’ve relapsed before.

With inpatient treatment, you stay at a residential facility and don’t go home until treatment is finished.

The rehab programs involved in inpatient care include group therapy, mental health care, and wellness activities. Inpatient care lasts between 30 and 90 days but can go as long as 6 months.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient treatment allows you to continue your recovery but lets you go home when you’re not in treatment sessions. It’s typically best for people with a moderate substance use disorder and those with strong support systems.

Outpatient care consists of two types of treatment programs: intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) and partial hospitalization programs (PHPs). IOPs are offered 9-12 hours per week while PHPs provide 4-8 hours of treatment per day.

Both outpatient recovery programs offer services such as behavioral therapy, addiction education, mental health counseling, and group therapy.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

If you’re struggling with alcohol or opioid addiction, medication-assisted treatment (MAT) may be part of your treatment plan. MAT consists of both medication and therapy.

The medications can include buprenorphine, methadone, and disulfiram. They help prevent withdrawal symptoms and cravings and can heal some of the damage done to the brain and body.

Dual-Diagnosis Treatment

Dual-diagnosis treatment allows you to treat both addiction and any co-occurring mental health. Treating them together ensures that one disorder doesn’t hinder the treatment of the other. Treatment can include medication, therapy, and support groups.

When leaving formal addiction treatment, aftercare support can be there for you when you’re entering the “real” world again. It can consist of any number of programs including employment assistance, sober-living housing, financial planning, halfway houses, and support groups.
