There are also several community resources to assist those managing their addiction recovery.

Available Addiction Treatment Services In Xenia, Ohio

The drug and alcohol rehab centers in Xenia offer different treatment services. The more treatment services a rehab center offers, the more likely you’ll receive a treatment plan that fits your needs.

Some of the rehab programs you may find in this area include:

  • detoxification
  • inpatient treatment
  • intensive outpatient programs
  • partial hospitalization programs
  • medication-assisted treatment
  • dual-diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders
  • aftercare support

Detoxification or detox is the first stage of the recovery process. During detox, drugs and/or alcohol are allowed to completely leave your system. This can be done with the help of your healthcare provider or under medical supervision at a detox center.

The process may involve medication and IV fluids to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Some medications are used for specific symptoms while others are used to help with the detox process in general.

Inpatient Treatment

Inpatient treatment takes place at a residential treatment facility. You stay at the facility 24/7 and treatment services like individual and group therapy, medical care, medication management, and addiction education are available. You’ll also learn strategies for relapse prevention.

Treatment can be short-term and last up to 30 days or long-term and last as long as 90 days.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient treatment offers similar programs as inpatient care. However, instead of staying at a treatment facility, you can go home after each day’s treatment sessions.

Depending on the severity of your substance use disorder, you can receive intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization:

  • intensive outpatient programs (IOPs): Best for those with mild to moderate addictions, and it lasts about 9 hours per week. IOPs include therapy, counseling, group activities, and support groups.
  • partial hospitalization programs (PHPs): Best for those with more serious addictions who have been through inpatient care. PHPs last about 30-40 hours a week and consist of behavioral therapy, medication management, and support groups.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is approved for those with opioid or alcohol addiction. MAT involves taking medications to help ease cravings, lessen withdrawal symptoms, and heal some of the damage done to the body and brain due to drug abuse.

A few of the medications used in MAT include methadone, buprenorphine, and disulfiram.

Dual-Diagnosis Treatment

For those dealing with mental illness alongside addiction, finding a treatment center with a dual-diagnosis program is beneficial.

Dual-diagnosis treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders ensures you get treatment for both issues simultaneously so one illness doesn’t negatively affect the other.

Aftercare Support

Support doesn’t stop once you leave formal treatment. Many drug rehab centers in Ohio offer aftercare support so you aren’t going back into the world with no help at all. Aftercare offers employment assistance, sober-living houses, support groups, and case management.

Paying For Addiction Treatment In Xenia, Ohio

If you have a private health insurance plan or Medicaid/Medicare, you shouldn’t have to worry too much about how you’re going to afford addiction treatment. Many insurance plans cover a portion of the cost.

If you’re uninsured, simply ask any potential treatment facilities if they offer payment assistance or sliding-scale fees.
