Alcohol & Drug Rehab Options In Preble County, Ohio

There are currently 16 alcohol and drug rehab centers in Preble County. Most treatment centers can be found in Eaton, Dayton, and Richmond, Indiana.

Many of these addiction treatment centers offer several different treatment services, including everything from medical detox and inpatient treatment to medication-assisted treatment.

Medical Detox

During medical detox, your healthcare provider will help you manage your withdrawal symptoms as they appear. They may prescribe specific medications for certain symptoms. This is typically the first step in treatment.

Inpatient Treatment

Inpatient treatment (also known as residential treatment) is recommended for people with more severe addictions. When you enroll in inpatient treatment, you live at the treatment center and receive care 24/7. It can be short-term or long-term depending on your needs.

Treatment programs included in inpatient treatment can include behavioral therapy, case management, dual-diagnosis treatment, group therapy, and addiction education.

Outpatient Treatment

Outpatient treatment is recommended for people with mild addictions and support systems at home. There are three types of outpatient programs: partial hospitalization programs (PHPs), intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), and standard outpatient programs.

IOPs and standard outpatient programs are less involved than PHPs. PHPs take up about 35-40 hours per week. While you’re able to go home after treatment each day, recovery will take up most of your time.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) involves medical professionals prescribing approved medications that treat alcohol or opioid addiction. It also involves behavioral therapy.

The medication helps ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings and heal some of the damage done by long-term drug abuse.
