The Clermont County Mental Health and Recovery Board is the current board that facilitates and oversees the 69 addiction treatment centers and recovery services in the area.

However, you’re not obligated to attend an addiction treatment program in the Clermont County area. You can choose any treatment center in Ohio, including Ohio Recovery Center. 

Substance Abuse Resources In Clermont County, Ohio

The Clermont County Mental Health and Recovery Board plans, funds, evaluates, and facilitates prevention, recovery, and mental health services for residents throughout the area.

The board is run by fourteen volunteers that are appointed by county commissioners and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The board members determine policies that guide the available services in the county, including:

• crisis intervention team
• mental health resources
• addiction resources

The county also offers a crisis hotline.

If you’re looking for a free naloxone kit to have on hand in case of an overdose, you can get a kit via the Opiate Task Force of Clermont County. Most pharmacies also offer naloxone kits without a prescription, but they may not be free.

Ohio Recovery Center is about two and a half hours away from Clermont County.

These treatment centers offer a range of treatment services like medical detox, inpatient and outpatient treatment, and medication-assisted treatment. 

Medical Detox

During medical detox, healthcare providers will help you through the process of clearing drugs and/or alcohol from your system. This often involves managing withdrawal symptoms with prescription medication. The medical professionals will also ensure your vitals are stable.

Inpatient Care

Inpatient treatment, often called residential treatment, involves 24/7 supervision while receiving addiction treatment. You are basically living at the treatment center. This type of treatment is for those with severe addictions and those with little to no support system at home.

Outpatient Care

Outpatient treatment is for anyone with a mild addiction and a strong support system. You’re able to live at home when you’re not in treatment, and treatment often includes group therapy, support groups, and case management. 

Most outpatient treatment centers offer one or more programs. The programs can include standard outpatient, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), and partial hospitalization programs (PHPs).

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is for anyone dealing with opioid or alcohol addiction. This form of treatment involves healthcare providers prescribing medications approved to ease withdrawal symptoms and cravings along with therapy and counseling.
